Today, showers likely this afternoon
Tuesday starts out dry, then cloudy. Tuesday night, rain likely. A warm front gets stuck over our area and builds up moisture. Early Wed morning a cold front is likely to move through from the west and wring the air like a sponge
Rain Wednesday, heavy at times. Rain may affect the commute Wed morning. Total rain Tuesday night through Wednesday evening could exceed 2 inches. Some minor flooding is possible. Breezy Wednesday into Thursday
Relatively warm temperatures throughout the period, with highs near 50⁰
Much needed rain, but still will not be enough to clear the drought
Thanks, Max!
Wed Dec 11th
Wet, warm, and breezy today
Rain, heavy at times, especially this afternoon. Wind steady at 20mph with gusts in the 30s should stay just below Advisory level (advisories issued to our east may be picked up by apps if they scan at the county level). Total rainfall today and tonight should be between 1 and 2 inches. Minor flooding, mostly road ponding, is possible this afternoon. High in the low 60⁰s.
The rain is being driven by a cold front with an arctic component moving through the warm moist air from yesterday, so tomorrow will be cold, high in the upper 30⁰s, but should be dry as the cold settles in.
Weekend Weather, Saturday should be clear and chilly, Sunday warmer and a chance of rain.
Watch out for leaves clogging up the storm drains. There was a DPW truck cleaning some up around Parker in the Clinton neighborhood earlier.
This is a problem caused in part by DPW. Last pick up in sections 1 - 3 is this week, with some areas already served. However, a significant number of leaves were left at the curb by the equipment used and what was left was often pushed into the storm drains.
