Today, Heat Advisory, with temperatures in the high 80⁰s and a warm moist breeze the heat index is likely to push into the mid 90⁰s today. Slight chance of showers and scattered thunderstorms this afternoon, severe weather unlikely.

Expect an air quality alert for ozone, and moderate air quality for particulates from wildfire smoke. Particulate concerns continue into the second half of the week but lower temps reduce the ozone concern.

Thursday and Friday should be cooler and a bit humid, with highs in the 70⁰s. Slight chance of scattered showers both days.

Weekend Weather continues seasonally warm, with highs around 80⁰, and humid. Chance of showers both days, thunderstorms are less likely but still possible, severe weather unlikely.

Sunday Sept 1

Widely scattered showers this morning give way to chance of showers and perhaps a rumble of thunder this afternoon. Severe weather is unlikely.

Oxvercast this morning becoming partly clooudy this afternoon. The likelihood of rain is decreasing with each forecast run, but the high amount of water in the atmosphere and the cold front coming through later today and destabilizing things means as of this run there is still a 50/50 chance of a shower or two this afternoon.

Weekend Weather

Forecast remains cooler and dry for the rest of the workweek, with daytime highs in the upper 70⁰s and overnight lows in the upper 50⁰s to mid 60⁰s (generally warmer as the week progresses).

Saturday, chance of showers. Sunday likely clearing but a bit more humid. Highs both days look to continue in the mid 70⁰s and lows in the high 50⁰s, so still about 5⁰ below normal on the highs.

Air quality is good except at the airport, but that seems quite localized.

I could get used to this. 80 in the middle of the day. 60 at night. Shorts 24/7.
