Has anyone been to the Paradox Museum, American Mall, East Rutherford?

It looks interesting. Is there a parking charge for the mall in addition to the admission for the museum?

Your review, if you've been there?

Im interested in seeing it but have no desire to go.

you have to pay for parking, which gives you access to the mall and museum. Go during the week to avoid the crowds. It’s a great place.

Pay attention to the days/times when the museum is open.  When I was there, most attractions did not open until 3 pm or later on a weekday and we were scheduled to leave the mall at 3 pm.

I think there’s a sign that just says “We Will Be Open Tomorrow”.

We happen to be going to the mall today (I've never been there before) and had my eye on the museum.  If we go, I'll report.

Nobody goes there. It’s too crowded.

what are these crowds made up of?

I was there over the summer.  Fun to see. Everything is a bit pricey.  Paradox museum looks like fun -reviews are pretty good. Definitely good for Insta pics.

I wouldn't recommend the beast burger that attracted thousands of fans when they opened.

We went.  The museum was fun and the whole mall is so over the top and immense that it's a must see at least once.  It's as much an amusement park as a mall, with roller coasters, a big water park, indoor skiing, and other active entertainment spots.  Had a pretty good lunch there too.  Better than standard mall food court food.

Note that there are still at least partial Sunday blue laws in place in Bergen County so all clothing stores, including the entire Saks Dept store, were closed, and we went there to look for a wedding dress for my wife at Saks.  We still enjoyed ourselves though.

Your wife is getting married? To you or someone else?

Daughter getting married.  Wife needs a dress for wedding.  Whether she has something else going on on the sly is another question.

I've been up there so many times I wish that I could never go back.

I figured as much...  cheese

This page says parking is free….  Their brilliant customer service helpline is unavailable to ask a question.  Has anyone been there recently to answer the parking charges question?

Thanks

Looks like it's free for the first 30 minutes - $5 flat fee if you're there longer.  I doubt anyone is there for less than 30 minutes.

Yes was flat 5 bucks after first 1/2 hour.  Not bad.
