Dr's office rescheduling appointments. Finally resolved.

So the appointment was originally scheduled for November. I get a call to reschedule for early December. Than that one is rescheduled for mid December... and on and on... It was rescheduled at least 5 times.

Stafff: "Would you like to have a virtual visit?"

Me: "Can the Dr. do a virtual stethoscope and blood pressure thing?"

Staff: "No."

Me: "Then I guess a virtual visit won't solve much."

So yesterday, I get to see him, live.

Me: "So what happened? Ya don't write, ya don't call?"

Him: "I was in hospital for three weeks with Covid. Then recovering."

First of all, I might have wanted to know he had covid before I entered his office. Then, why didn't the staff say why he wasn't keeping the appointments.

Once a person recovers from covid, they are not contagious.  Staff is under no obligation to say why the appointments are being rescheduled.  Doctor's have a right to medical privacy also. The only time you are entitled to know is if you were or could be exposed.  After  2 weeks to 2 months the office should be perfectly safe.

That’s cool, but in the absence of information, I was about to get another physician.

he would’ve lost a customer

Wouldn't he have lost a customer if they told you he had Covid and was in the hospital?
