Downton Abbey Fans

Downton Abbey:The Exhibition just opened yesterday  at 218 W 57th St(Broadway and 7th). The exhibit will be there until Jan 31. They  have reconstructed much of the interior of the set as well as the original outfits, etc. Sounds interesting.

Thanks.  Are you going?

I'm going tomorrow, can't wait!

Blianderson -Let us hear about your visit.

Just wanted to add that this exhibition requires a timed admission ticket

Report back, please.

im here now willpost more later

It was lovely! Although your ticket had a specific entrance time you could spend as long as you liked in the exhibit. I don't know why I didn't take any photos of the kitchen, it was so realistic you could almost smell the fish mouse!

Thanks!  Going Saturday.

Last week to see Elizabeth McGovern in "Time and the Conways" at the Roundabout Theatre Company.

It was really nice - would have liked to have seen another room or two - and maybe throw in one of the classic cars.

Make sure you take in each floor enough before you move on because once you're on an escalator to the next floor - there's no return.

2 videos that stood out the most and enjoyable to me were 1) the video in the dining room and 2) the video by Maggie Smith's character.

There's a big spoiler in the promotional video on the exhibit website. Are there any spoilers in the exhibit? Or does it not really give away specific storyline twists? Im thinking of taking my daughter but she hasn't watched it yet.

hmm, I think the amount of content is so overwhelming spoilers may not stand out.  However the video at the end of the tour does highlight a lot of the tragedies - you could always watch it through first and see what you think.  Any specific spoilers you're worried about?

I guess any character deaths and I'm sure other things too that I can't think of (until it would be too late). Are there many videos? Maybe the best thing would be to skip the videos if they're not a big part of the exhibit.
