Democratic Debate #2 - Night 2
Michael Bennet manages to put the entire audience to sleep with his opening statement, not just Nan.
Opening statements - Bill DeBlassio. Bragging about his accomplishments. Attacking Joe Biden in his introduction. Trying to be Bernie who he did not endorse in 2016 because the establishment told him to vote for Hillary.
Now Michael Bennett - KIds belong in classrooms not cages. Bennet belongs in a sleep clinic. Can you imagine him debating with Trump? Might be worse than Beto.
Inslee intro. Big, bold ambitious - clearly he watched the debates last night. Key takeaways. HIs glasses don't work on his face.
Kirsen Gillibrand - Talks about her grandmother and mother and her mother worked with gays when people said that was impossible. Her eyes are blinking too much.
Tulsi Gabbard. Gives her foreign policy intro. Donald Trump is not a patriot. She's wearing peace white. Fighting for all.
Tulsi loves our country. Loves Putin and Assad even more. She had a nice salad with Assad.
She also loves hanging out with hedge fund managers.
Protestors interrupt Booker's opening. Probably Bernie Bots whose batteries were running down.
Julian Castro is going to work for us everyday. He had a single mom in poor neighborhood. We are moving forward. together.
Yang - He's giving everyone $1k a month. That's his intro. He's an asian man who likes math.

Booker is going to beat Trump but I missed how.
Kamala Harris - Who are we? We must fight for the best we are. We have always been prepared. . .I come from fighters. She's going to prosecute the case. . .
Biden - is going to restore our soul. He's going to walk on us. I guess. This is America and we are strong and great because of this diversity. We are not going to leave it to you.
President Biden gives a terrific opening statement. Joe is full of life and ready to go.
This comes down to Joe, Kamala and Mayor Pete. Take your pick from the first two and put Mayor Pete in the VP slot.
Biden, very cool speech.
Gabbard / Booker would be the most soothing and optimistic combo. I'm so tired of the temperament of this administration, I just need a little more hope and change.
1st Question - Healhcare and Kamala gets to go first and hawk her bad plan that CNN loves. She tries to justify a 10 year implementation. She says "access"
Joe - is going for the jugular. You can't beat Trump with that.
Harris - says our plan will have babies born into our plan.
Both of them have terrible plans so his is interesting.
Biden - it will cost 3 trillion dollars--and more bad stuff.
Harris - we are already playing a lot.
President Biden laying out the facts. Joe is calm. Joe is cool. Joe is collected.
No yelling from this old white guy. Joe is Presidential.
Bill deBlasio - doing the Bernie on healthcare.
Biden - Obamacare is working and we need to build on that. Then give a public option. Would ensure he vast
Gillibrand - Can Harris call her plan Mediare for All? Gillibrand - I will answer a different question that interests me more.
Kirsten is yelling. Kirsten, please leave the yelling to Bernie the Multi-Millionaire.
Harris mentions That Sebelius women who endorsed her plan--THE WOMAN WORKS FOR MEDICARE ADVANTAGE!!!!!!!!!!! Bad Kamala--- very bad.

While everyone else is getting a chance to speak, Tulsi is keeping herself occupied by texting with Assad and Putin.

He wasn't my first pick but if he makes it through the debates, he may just be what the rest of the country wants.
Tulsi with a very weak opening. Tulsi is reading right off of her phone. Obviously Putin gave her that answer.
And...Tulsi's attack on Harris turns into Harris saying "yeah, whatever Tulsi, I am going to address my response to you by talking about Joe's plan"
So Biden and Harris are debating who has the least crappy plan.
And they bring in Bennett, who wakes up and says more garbage
OH, they are going to take away your insurance. Most people would say, "Please do".
Hope Harris gets a question that can show her optimism. Pitting her against other candidates brings out the prosecutor in her and paints her as confrontational. She looks annoyed.

I'm starting this as I did last night. I don't know if I will be able to post as I'm watching with a friend and I went to the eye doctor today and my pupils are dilated and and I'm struggling just to post this. Also, I'm exhausted from last night.
I want to make some predictions, but I felt more confident about what was going to happen last night. I think there will some kind of effort to take Kamala down, but CNN is a big supporter so they may thwart that or mitigate it. We saw how controlling he CNN moderators were last night so I don't expect the free-for-all hey had on MSNBC.
I think Tulsi Gabbard will try to dominate any foreign policy discussion. I think Biden will try to prove he is not senile and has at least half of Bernie's pep.
I think Julian Castro will try to get act like he thinks he is a frontrunner. Bill DeBlasio will be throwing around Progressive airs. Kirsten Gillibrand will maybe do nasally Dana Bash impressions.
Andrew Yang will probably score some points with some new people, as Marianne Williamson did last night. I heard he did no qualify for he third debate so he will be going all out for this one.
Cory Booker and Julian Castro might go at it, but they are very similar and fighting for the same lane.
I am falling asleep now so I better get up and get moving or I may sleep through the whole thing.
