Democratic Debate #2 - Night 1

I'm setting this up for people to comment on the debate tonight.  I will probably not be commenting because I'm going to a watch party and I might not even bring my computer.

I think it will be an interesting night with the lower polling people trying to jump in and attack the higher polling candidates.  I don't think Bernie and Liz will go at each other like Kamala and Joe,  I think they will try to maintain what they have going, but who knows as the stakes are really high.   I think Pete will be giving his best high school valedictorian speech ever and annoying me the most.  I think there will be a lot of "we don't need a revolution" type comments from the peanut gallery and the amount of platitudes will be off the charts.

I think the questions will be framed as bad or worse as MSNBC, but we will see.

in fairness, Kamala and Joe did not go at “each other”. She attacked him and he did not reciprocate.

I think the only way we have a chance against Trump is if these candidates treat each other with respect and not go on the attack. If people start hating one or more of these candidates and they win, the party will divide again.

Why do you even bother watching anymore?

Delaney and Hickenlooper go right after M4A.  We'll see where this goes.

ok, I think Beto can step down.  Weak intro.

This is a race between Kamala, Biden and Mayor Pete.  Everyone else can go home.

Or go to one of your homes if you are Bernie the Multi-Millionaire.

When and where is this debate being broadcast?

Who wants to play "billionaire"-bingo with Bernie?

Delaney goes toe to toe vs Bernie and Liz. Not bad for a fringe guy.

Tapper working VERY hard to provide a GOP talking point on raising middle class taxes. Nobody biting though.

There are way too many candidates, it's complete chaos

Bernie is out of control.

Bernie is an angry, surly, old white guy who looks like he needs a bowl of mushroom soup and some kasha.

Mayor Pete is a rock star.

Bernie is being Bernie, but not bad, certainly plenty combative and on his toes. Scoring some points.

Pete is doing well. Staying above the fray and looking and acting like a top contender.

M4A discussion was a wash - they need 2 hours just for that.  I don't think either side had sufficient time to prove their case.

This is pure craziness.

I'm voting for Jill Stein.

klobuchar so boring and flat with her delivery.

Marianne Williamson is winning tonight's debate.   She's nuts, sure.  But she has the Tina Louise/Marlo Thomas thing going again and that's a huge plus.

So far Bernie and Liz holding serve. Bernie slight edge IMO. Pete looks like he belongs in top tier.

Delaney’s the only guy from the rest who’s halfway decent tonight.

Hickenlooper sort of looks like  Russell Johnson.

so far - based on what I'm seeing - Trump will be re-elected.

Amy Klobuchar looks like Hazel.

(image height issue will be fixed tonight)

eta - image fixed.

Mayor Pete is the clear winner tonight.
