Debate New Hampshire

Pretty  passionate debate. I guess the crowd is fired up after the impeachment.

Good moment by Pete on Hunter Biden.

Standing ovation called for by Biden for Col Vindeman.

Bernie kicked off by promising they will all work to support whoever is the nominee.

Amy is terrific.

Maybe the best debate.

Tough arguing but a sense of solidarity.

Just beat Trump

The crowd is wildly enthusiastic.

Experience feels like the narrative, which makes Pete's arguments feel weak in comparison.

Everyone is doing pretty good!

True but I'm hoping Liz has a strong moment. She is so smart but she needs to show her claws. We are all so damaged by Trump's acquittal that I think we need to see a fighter tonight. At least I do.

Good we need to start talking foreign policy. I've OD'd on the healthcare discussion.

I needed this debate tonight.

Can't we just run them against Trump as a team?

They should just agree that whoever wins will take the rest in on their cabinet.

Yes and we can definitely pencil in Kamala Harris as AG. Imagine her prosecuting Barr.

Steyer, regardless of the money he's spent, is making serious sense. If he gets at least a reasonable amount of time, he may change some minds.

Joe's campaign advisors need to remind him to ignore the clock.

Go Liz. She needs to bring up the Violence Against Women Act and tell the audience McConnell is holding it up because of the boyfriend loophole, held hostage by the NRA.

Go Joe.

Women want to hear their plans to defend Roe.

Go Liz. That was your moment;

Let's hear from Amy! Doing good.

On the issue of the military or on his viability as a candidate. I like him but I think he has too much competition with this crowd.

He's getting his moment. His approach is that of a unifier. Refreshing.

I think their solutions for drug addiction sound naive.

For me Amy won the night. Her I know you speech is gorgeous.

On Chris Hayes post debate a woman had the same impression that Mayor Pete seemed naive and she and another man loved Amy Klobuchar and one gave props to her closing speech. Another Klobuchar! This is among undecideds.

Another Amy!

And Chris Matthews loves her!

Klobuchar's speech was rousing but it didn't ,match up with her record very well.

She knows you because she works for your landlord.

If voters lean progressive, I think Liz is the one but if they are leaning centrist, I'm suggesting Amy is your best bet. None of the baggage of Biden but more experienced and more mature than Buttigieg.

I've been a Warren fan since day one but I am keeping my eye on the field for alternative prospects to back and as Liz has not been twinkling lately, I'm watching for the best centrist.

I think we need to nurture two lanes and see what the early states nibble on.

To me, this is a bad thing.

I think it would have been pretty cool that, in a show of solidarity, at the end of the debate, all the candidates would have picked up a sheaf of papers and torn them in half.

Chris Mathews is loony tunes.

Amy was terrific again last night.   I donated to her campaign just after the debate ended.

 Me too!

Amy did well, but she did well in previous debates too and for whatever reason(s) it hasn’t helped her much in the polls (or in the Iowa caucus). It’s gotta vex her and her staff that she is running well behind Mayor Pete.

She is just sooooo conservative.  If she is the nominee I will vote against Trump (for her) but it would be nice to see someone in the White House who wants to make the US a better place than it was when Clinton left office.
