That’s one of those that if you’re at the stadium you almost have to wait for the scoreboard to confirm what you saw.

Given what has to line up for that to happen I will guess, without googling, that those are less common than perfect games.

Edit! I googled. Yeah you saw a super rare one. Pretty sweet!

Edit again- 15 total- but 5 since 2000. Such a small sample size to make much out of it, but there was a period of over 40 years between triple plays. I guess more double steals/ runners in motion since 2000 than the period prior, if you were going to make an assumption?

The first video should be played for every youth coach biting their lip as yet another ball thuds into the turf untouched. It even happens to the elite.
