Question:  are there opportunities for Freshman boys to play baseball at CHS?

Yes. There is no longer a separate freshman team, but the JV is almost entirely freshmen and sophomores. This past season, by my count, there were seven freshmen (a count that includes one exceptional player who started on the varsity).

Tryouts are early in the spring, but the last few years there have also been informal strength and conditioning workouts after school over the fall and winter if the player is interested.
