Clip In Extensions

so, I bought a very nice set of clip in extensions. Hair seems to be a very good quality and the color is perfect.

My hair is very fine and thinning. It’s about 2 inches longer than shoulder length. I prefer to wear it very straight.

The extensions are very long- 18”. I need to get used to putting them in so they lay flat on my head- I assume that will just be a practice thing but any advice is welcome.

But, the biggest issue I have is- how do you fix them so that it doesn’t look like a layer of your own shorter hair sitting on top of longer under pieces? Do I have to do more of a wavy style for that to be completely masked?

I could call Kim and Khloe but I’ll bet they have someone do them for them so they likely haven’t encountered these problems.

I guarantee YouTube has a ton of videos on how to do it. Or you can go to a hairdresser who is skilled and have them do it for you and watch what they do.

I found a few on how to put them in but I wind up still looking like I have a short layer of hair sitting on top of long hair lol. Almost all of the videos wind up with styling in a RHW sort of way though with those long wavy extensions. I like my hair much straighter/ blunter but I’m guessing with how these sit, that’s not likely to look good (because it’ll never be smooth enough). Such problems!

With a hat, they look Perfect! I guess I’ll just be hat lady when I wear them. It’s so ridiculous to have hair almost down to my butt but I was so happy I wanted to cry. Haven’t been able to grow it that long since I was in my 20s. Merry Christmas to me!

Don't you need to get the extensions cut?

they are made to be worn as is. But you can certainly cut them. I bought the 18” but 16” probably would have been perfect.
