I believe the "chalkboard" is actually plastic, not the painted type. It is an IKEA chalkboard.
And if worse comes to worse, you can spend a few bucks and get some chalk board paint and paint over it
Aren't crayons just wax? How about a hair dryer to melt wax and wipe?
Magic eraser may work, otherwise an oily solution, worse comes to worse, coconut oil or olive oil.
