CHS Musical Production of Hairspray--saw it last night: GO--GO NOW!

I've seen the last 6-7 CHS musicals--they're always great.  This year's offering may be my favorite--hysterically funny, great performances (Mrs. Turnblad steals the show), choreography and singing, AND it's a massive cast.

Don't miss it--best $10 you''ll every spend.  Certain the most fun/joyous musical I've seen.  Go!

Too late--the word got out.  The balcony is open on a first-come, first serve basis an hour before each show.

This has been happening the last few years.  Maybe they should consider adding a weekend or adding Saturday matinees?  (I just bought tix for the Union HS show and they do both a matinee and evening performance on at least one Saturday.)

I don’t know. The students already put in so much time. Two shows in one day or adding a third weekend might be asking too much.

Then again, I’m several decades removed from my teenage energy output.

I agree with you. They do 6 shows on two succeeding weekends and they even open their Thursday dress rehearsal to seniors and perhaps others.  The ones who really want to go will get their tickets (thankfully online now with reserved seating much improved from the past) in advance and not wait for the raves.

Word to the wise. Whether you like the particular musical go every single year. I've been going since about 2001 and the show NEVER disappoints. The quality and professionalism is on par with Off, Off Broadway.

I agree. The shows are always fantastic but this show was especially so very very good.  And I had no idea my teenage neighbor is the lead. So wonderful and uplifting!!!
