Rather warm today, Tues July 12, with high near 90 and a Heat Index ("feels like tempurature ") in the mid 90s. We could see a Heat Advisory if the rain holds off.
As a front moves through today we will first see some gusting midday, gusts around 25 mph for a few hours, then a 50/50 chance of showers, and perhaps an isolated thunderstorm or two. There is a very slight chance of a severe thunderstorm, with gusty winds the main risk factor. Timing on the rain is mid-afternoon through early evening.
I feel like we have been promised rain several times in the last few weeks, only to be stood up.

Severe Thunderstorm Watch, July 12th
There is a broken line of showers and thunderstorms to our west that is growing and moving in our direction. There is a possibility that there may be severe thunderstorms associated with the passage of the line. Most likely hazard would be gusty winds and some hail.
As a result, the NWS has issued a severe Thunderstorm Watch (see below). A watch means that the weather condition is possible, and to pay attention for further updates. As a reminder, please do not depend on this page for the most timely updates. Keep you phone on with notifications and location properly set to alert you to any further notices or warnings.
