Can you recommend someone to insulate my cold house?
Neighbors used Acorn as well and they seem pretty pleased by results.
Basic information... heat rises so put the primary focus on the attic.
Windows are the second reason for discomfort so look for drafts around windows, especially on the southwest side of your house.
Thirdly, the space between the exterior wall and the frame of the house, where the cement ends and wood begins. This space does not exist with all houses.

Prevailing winds in our area come from the southwest/west and would hit the house on its southwest side.
