Can anyone recommend a plumber?

Having some trouble with bathroom pipes...can anyone recommend a reliable local plumber?

Been very happy with Jeff Zwigard

The best! I had a bathtub clog, and Dennis referred me to a drain company. The guy showed up, spent five minutes in the bathroom, left declaring it was fixed (it wasn't), and sent an invoice for more than $200! I contacted Dennis and he came that very day and cleaned the drain thoroughly, and wouldn't accept payment (and said not to pay the other guy for a job not done). Awesome experience and excellent customer service!

Have been pleased with both Right One and Phil Masucci.

We have used Gateway Plumbing for four years. Have always been happy with their work. They also advertise on MOL.

Stay far away from Right One. They replaced an electric fan motor in my furnace and charged $865.00. I later learned that usual cost is less than $300.00. Five months later, I need to replace the motor again.

Good guy. While working on a big issue with my grandmother's house I asked him about a small, minor issue. He not only fixed it, but showed me how to take care of it in case the same issue came up again so I wouldn't have to call him for a future repair.

We really like Anthony Masi - He's honest, reasonable and comes at most any time of the day or night in my experience.

Nobody in this industry would replace a warm air furnace blower moter for under 300. In fact when i was working for someone 13 years ago we charged close to $500. 13 years later with cost increasing sounds about right. I don't really service warm air and ac anymire i stick to plumbing for the most part. Just curious who told you under $300 because i would love to sub them

Oh well, I guess we need an occasional one of these to keep our egos in check. (:

l have lived in the area for 30 years and have been a realtor for over 20 years. I have experience with many of the plumbers mentioned here ( I have no experience with Dennis at right one but have heard good things). The one I use for my own home and the one I recommend to my own clients is Anthony Masi. He is great at his job, honest and decent.

"Troll?" Think again, master bater. I'm going to believe my cancelled checks over your suppositions. It seems the plumbers all want to charge plumbing prices to repair a furnace. I used Custom Air out of Little Falls, $295 for the same job Right One charged $865.00. Dennis is a nice guy, just watch your wallet if you choose to use him.

All my experiences with Right One have been completely positive. The most recent time my family has used him has been for a leaking shower pipe. Not only did he fix it very quickly and reasonably, he found a tile guy to install new tile on the area that had been damaged at a great price as soon as the plumbing was done. The shower was back in use in record time. This is just the latest of a lot of good dealings with Right One.

Well,

all I can say is if I paid someone 865.00 for a service and it failed in five months I would certainly call the company back and ask them to make good on it. As far as I know we have not heard a word from this individual until this post.

How is it that the troll can post but we can't see his profile? Does he delete it between posts?

Tom,

Click on 'Comments' under their handle (you default to the 'discussions' that they started - of which they have none) and you can see that this was only their 2nd & 3rd comment posts since joining in 2014.

It's my ex- wife I just know it.

To Master_Plvmber: Thanks for being such a class act!

@plungy lmfao!! That happens sometimes

@ohmymy

One thing i do know from working for someone back when i did warm air and ac work is that we definitely charged more for it than plumbing repairs. $295 you got the deal of a lifetime most companies wont even change your air filters for less..

Not sure the price was a aberration. Custom Air recently replaced the blower motor AND blower wheel in a friend's furnace for $482. If you google posts on the expected cost of replacing blower motors, you'll find they range from $250 to $400, which seems reasonable. The motor costs less than $200 and labor time is 1/2 hour to 45 minutes tops. I don't presume to know the plumbing business and my intent is not to disrupt the pricing strategies of the Maplewood and environs plumbing cabal, but if I believe I was overcharged, I think it would be a disservice to MOL readers not to say so.

Still trying to determine who you are ohmy. I brought your post to the attention of my guys and they think you may be someone they took care of while I was on vacation. I am still having trouble understanding why you didn't call me to discuss this if you felt you were overcharged. The trouble with looking prices up online is that prices differ greatly by region due to labor costs. Perhaps your friend's motor was replaced under warrantee. You should have been quoted the price beforehand and signed for approval. I don't know who you are so I can't check to see if that took place. If not and the price was sprung on you after the work was completed I definitely would have shown you consideration.

another vote for corragio brothers.
