Nothing but...............

Her co-star in The Blues Brothers, Matt “Guitar” Murphy, died just two months ago at 88.

So many great covers (not including A Natural Woman, which was the original recording, written for her). Respect, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Let It Be, Eleanor Rigby, I Say a Little Prayer, Border Song, The Weight ... and this one:

Kofi Annan has died.

Gosh. I hadn't expected that.

Good bye Senator John McCain, American hero.

Look what we’ve become. A person of service and heroism berated in his last days by the most vile of bottom feeders

just about this sad sad news. So much dignity, and strength of character, right up to the end.

I truly hope the family is given space, and privacy. They surely will be comforted by many, and his name will be remembered.

In the book "The Bridges at Toko Ri,   The author has the old Admiral Tarrant remarking on the death of one of his fighter pilots,  "Where do we find such men"

Michner said it best.

RIP Senator..........you will be missed.

I won't miss him.  Just another member of the Keating 5.

Plays were hilarious!

Neil Simon? I missed that. I have most of his films on tape and can actually recite most of the lines. The man truly made me laugh.

Great scenes between Jane Fonda and Allen Alda in California Suite.

we just woke up to hear the news about Neil Simon. We’re deeply saddened. Can’t think of a thing he wrote we haven’t enjoyed, and still enjoy. A man to remember.

Slowly it seems as if all the sparkling wit and seasoned subtlety of making a sharp point with reflective humour is being drained from us.

Each of her sons is as equally talented, honouring their parents and grandparents.
