Apologies to Mr. Obama and other fans for being late to the party. The name was familiar to me — and not just because I thought she used to be in the Go-Gos — but not her music, until this performance last night made me sit up and take notice. Echoes of early Radiohead and prime Ian Hunter (who knew how to put across a country song without irony). I’ll be buying the CD ... as soon as I can find a store that still sells them.
