Border wall will be more expensive if "super duper"

From Trump's frightening, word salad interview with the AP:

TRUMP: My base understands the wall is going to get built, whether I have it funded here or if I get it funded shortly thereafter, that wall's getting built, OK? One hundred percent. One hundred percent it's getting built. And it's also getting built for much less money — I hope you get this — than these people are estimating. The opponents are talking $25 billion for the wall. It's not going to cost anywhere near that.

AP: You think $10 billion or less.

TRUMP: I think $10 billion or less. And if I do a super-duper, higher, better, better security, everything else, maybe it goes a little bit more. But it's not going to be anywhere near (those) kind of numbers.

The $20+ billion number is from Homeland Security (2017 edition), not his opponents.

Most things cost more if they are super-duper.  I don't even want a bargain basement wall personally.  I think they should tear down most of the border fence that's already been built.

It's pretty telling that NO senators or representatives from any of the border states support the wall. Talking about the likes of Ted Cruz, for example, not liberals for the most part!

I mean - there's already a wall in the places where it makes sense to build a wall (and some places where it doesn't make sense but we built it anyhow).

Most illegal drug traffic and most undocumented people "traffic" into  U.S. won't be affected by a wall.

Why doesn't Jared use his Tech entrepreneurs in Dumboville to come up with a better solution?

As Seth Meyers said, even a person desperate to buy a used car knows enough to walk away from the deal as soon as the salesman uses the term "super duper."

One must never let reality, real facts, intrude upon Trump's talking points.

he also said it's worth all the cost if it stops even 1% of the drugs coming across the border.  So he's saying his plan would be a success even if it has a 99% failure rate.

A good businessman is better at cost-benefit analysis than that.

and what happens to the wall when Trump is out of office?  it may not even be completed yet...and could just be taken down...after all that money spent on it

I'm still trying to come to terms with the fact that the POTUS used the term "super duper" in describing a border wall.

Nationwide legalization of marijuana would eliminate about 20% of the drugs coming across the border, cost nothing, and endanger nobody.

But that's just like, my opinion man.

there would be a tax on it, so your solution would have the benefit of also being a net positive to the treasury instead of a $20 billion outlay.

His savings will come by using illegal Mexicans to build it.

the big problem with marijuana is the way its made...they continually breed it to make it more potent and then it mixed with more dangerous substances that could potentially cause addition, cancer, or other issues.  It pot was legal and regulated, the ingredients could be controlled to make it safer.

I could use a case of addition. My math skills have really fallen off.

And additional collateral damage from the marijuana breeding is that Alex Jones has to test it once a year to "monitor its strength". It's good we have brave soldiers fighting for us.
