I wouldn’t argue too hard with the anonymous former player in the Forbes article who admires the career but questions its Hall worthiness, but I love that Jones made it in. Because he was fifth in minutes played, it’s easy for 76ers fans to forget that he wasn’t a starter on the great 1982-83 team. Every team needs its role players, and like the understated Mo Cheeks, Jones did all the little things to perfection and was a joy to watch.
