I have relatives in Australia.  Are they fakes too?  What about Joanne?  She must be fake.  NASA pays her to post on MOL.

No, no.  If you look at the “map” put out by flat earthers, Australia is shown. These are what one might call a “ fringe group “.

Why doesn't the media ignore these groups?  Better: why don't we?

Here in the place that doesn’t exist, we went through this issue a month or more ago - @marksierra can find the relevant discussions, I’m sure! It was sidesplittingly hysteria at the time, I think it caused some consternation in federal Parliament because of the whole by-elections-due-to-non-citizenship hassles, and the re-organisation of Dutton’s portfolio into a super-steroids über-super-fortress-Australia portfolio (immigration, customs, ‘homeland security’ and some Attorney-General functions). 

I think First Dog on the Moon may have done a good cartoon on it. And there’s possibly a very good Huw Parkinson video clip.

Yass is actually a pretty, quiet country town. If you’re ever over this way, and heading towards Canberra, or beyond the Blue Mountains, it’s worth a visit especially in cherry season (it’s not too far from the cherry-growing regions of Australia).

For a minute I thought you were attempting to discourage Americans from fleeing to Australia. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg did say that if Trump was elected it would be time for us to move to the neighborhood: New Zealand.  Canada doesn't want us.

We've frequently made the same mistake in our own maps, including for Commonwealth Games in Brisbane 1982... (the excuse was there wasn't enough blue ink for Bass Strait)
