Aluminum Screens

Oct 21, 2025 at 8:51am

So I have the old fashioned aluminum storm windows and somehow 2 screens seem to be missing. Is there anyplace around that can build them if I give them an existing one I have from another window. Thx!

This old-school place on Morris Ave in Union came to mind.

yeah… I called him. Basically said good luck finding those anymoreLOL

I suppose I’ll have to search the bulk clean out days to find them in people’s trash or go to the dump days we have yearly LOL

They’re not ideal — moving them up and down in the tracks can be a literally stiff challenge — but the screens I cut and assembled with a kit like this from Home Depot serve their purpose. They were easy enough to make, and I’m no handyman. How-to videos abound.
