12/29/15 Lines down on Millburn Ave at Wyoming Ave intersection

There was a traffic mishap that snapped a utility pole on Milllburn Ave right across from the CVS parking lot. Traffic can still get through going towards Millburn but not down the hill towards Maplewood. People are having to turn onto Wyoming and either go up the hill over the tracks or go right and cut through the neighborhood and come out a block further down on Millburn Ave. Walnut Street I think.

Tow truck was getting the vehicle out of the way but there are wires still draped across the street.

Still a mess, just went through there, plus a tractor trailer was jack knifed coming out of TJ's parking lot.

Millburn Township firefighters await a Verizon crew to repair downed phone and cable lines at 206 Millburn Ave. near its intersection with Wyoming Avenue Dec. 29. Reported at about 11:15 a.m., a GMC SUV crashed into the pole.

A single car collision on slick roadways took down a telephone pole and caused police to close Millburn Avenue between Walnut Street and Wyoming Avenue this morning.
The driver of a GMC SUV crashed into the pole while turning left from Wyoming Avenue onto Millburn Avenue at about 11:15 a.m., police said.
No injuries were reported and a fire official on the scene expected the roadway would be closed for at least an hour, snarling traffic downtown.
Battalion Chief Scott Latona said a Verizon work crew would have to reset the pole, which had snapped at its base taking down phone and cable lines with it.

Coincidence. The fire dept and 3 PSEG trucks were at the same intersection 830 this AM investigating something.

So that's what all that ruckus was about
