On Saturday, September 1, beginning at 9:00 PM, Temple B’nai Abraham, 300 East Northfield Road, Livingston, will hold its observance of Selichot with light refreshments, followed by a brief service at 10:00 PM. Selichot, literally “forgiveness,” is the service held on a Saturday evening before Rosh Hashanah, to help prepare us for the Holy Days. It is a moment for reflection and preparation for the personal accounting in the days ahead.
