The Community Coalition on Race examined demographic trends in our towns to better understand some growing concerns about our school and neighborhood integration. The 2016 report generated questions and observations about how the two towns grow in diversity, continue to pursue their residential integration goals, improve their viability for seniors and renters, whether and how we meet our affordable housing obligations, and more.
The updated 2019 report offers an expanded look at the schools, an overview of school integration history, affordable housing, plus income and integration comparisons to some comparable NJ suburbs. Join us for a public presentation of the report on Tuesday, June 11th, 7:30 pm, at the South Orange Public Library. Event is FREE and open to the public.
